Teen Otaku Association (TOA)

Are you tired of the same old same old? Join Richland Library's Teen Otaku Association (TOA).

The Teen Otaku Association is where Richland Library's teen customers gather and discuss manga, also known as Japanese print comics, and anime, or Japanese animation. The Teen Otaku Association offers a fresh and fun space for teens to discuss manga and anime as well as encourage discussion about art forms, cultural differences, mythology, and history as represented in these media. Otaku (oh-tah-koo) is a Japanese word meaning "geek". This word has been embraced by Western fans of manga and anime.

Our Teen Otaku Association (TOA) is open to teens from age 13-18.

TOA meets every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bostick Auditorium at the Richland Main Library.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our Teen Otaku Association? Please visit us at the Teen Center on the first floor of Richland Main. Meeting times are listed in our calendar and online newsletter.
