Ask a Librarian
How do I access ebooks and other downloadables through the library?
Richland Library offers library card holders downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, music, movies and magazines.
First, check out a title from our catalog or from the links below, also found on our home page under Stream & Download.
Checked out titles can then be downloaded to an app or streamed through your Internet browser. E-titles automatically expire at the end of their lending periods.
Music is available through Freegal, you can download 6 songs per week to keep.
Movies, TV shows, audiobooks, music, ebooks and comics are available for streaming through hoopla. Movies check out for 3 days, music for 7, and books/audiobooks for 21 days.
Movies and TV shows can be streamed online or downloaded to your smart TV through Kanopy. Richland Library card holders can play 10 Kanopy titles per month. Each title checks out for 3 days and the checkout limit is reset at the first of each month.
Check out the links above for instructions for each e-platform, or bring your Kindle, Nook, iPad, Android, laptop or other device by one of our locations and someone can show you how to get started.
