National Public Health Week
National Public Health Week is held each year during the first full week of April. During this time, we acknowledge the contributions of public health professionals and their counterparts. In addition, a spotlight is placed on issues affecting the well-being of citizens in South Carolina and other communities across the United States.
National Public Health Week: April 3-9, 2017
South Carolina’s Public Health Week is hosted by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC). DHEC hosted events across its health regions to celebrate the importance of public health in the communities it serves. The events were open to the public and included a variety of activities, like: healthy food sampling, cooking and exercising demos, open houses and more.
