Did you know that representatives from Lifeline Wireless, a Federal Lifeline program that provides a FREE cellular phone along with FREE minutes, data, and text messages, are at the Richland Library Main location every Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM? Richland Library is excited to welcome volunteers from The Cooperative Ministry's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and SC Thrive's tax programs. They will be available, by appointment only, to do taxes for any households making $65,000 or less. To receive assistance during this event you will need to bring: social security cards for yourself and everyone in your household, all W2s you have received from your employer(s), and a copy of last year's tax return, if available.In order to reserve your appointment, you can contact a social worker at Richland Library at 231-6383 or 231-6330. All taxes are prepared for free by a volunteer from either SC Thrive or The Cooperative Ministry.

Class Description: Create creepy dishes that you can share with your family! This class is for children, ages 6 and up and their parents or guardians. Please register your child only. Parent or guardian attendance is required. Menu: Spiderweb Cupcakes – Chocolate Cinnamon Skeleton Cookies – Blueberry Eyeball Punch. What to expect: • All classes are for ages 18 and up, unless noted otherwise • You will be standing and cooking for most of this hands-on class • Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back • All classes are limited to 16 people and you will work in groups of 4 • You will get to sample the recipes you make • All classes are roughly 1 ½ to 2 hours long
